Linear sprint measurement at top level
SpeedTrack is a multifunctional laser sensor measurement and training system for cyclical and acyclical forms of speed. In addition to athletic processes, cognitive processes are also taken into account. As with all GlobalSpeed systems, we attach great importance to a high level of practical relevance. Thanks to the monitor at the start and an enormous number of software variants, the SpeedTrack is not only a pure timing system, but also a system for training close to competitions.
Different length and width dimensions, as well as types of the SpeedTrack can be adapted to existing or new building situations. The double laser and double start plates guarantee a safe release. False triggering due to arm movements is avoided. SpeedTrack uses the same database as all other GlobalSpeed systems and thus enables central recording of all performance data.
In addition to the total time, the stable double lasers also provide intermediate times at the individual measuring points and thus provide feedback on the acceleration and the development of the speed. For further analysis, reaction times are additionally measured at the double start plates
With the SpeedTrack, different start modes can be selected for the measurements. In addition to the free start, both a start with a countdown and a start on a specific optical or acoustic signal can be implemented. Likewise, various game-like sequences can be combined.
Depending on the length of the SpeedTrack, different shuttle runs can be performed. These include the Beep Test and YoYo Intermittent Recovery Test, which are well-known in science, as well as the simple 5-10-5 shuttle.
The SpeedTrack can also be used to measure different jump variations. The measurement of the jump height is based on the athlete’s flight time. In addition, the tactile sensor system provides information on contact times and thus on existing differences in the right-left comparison.
Bundesliga clubs such as FC Bayern Munich and Bayer 04 Leverkusen already rely on GlobalSpeed’s expertise and have been training on the SpeedTrack for many years.
